Discolog was born on August 22 1979, in Louvier, France, but spent most of his life in İstanbul,Turkey. ‘In A Manner Of Speaking’ is the name of his new track.

Daniele Di Martino

Daniele is back.

The talented dj and producer Daniele dropped his first track to our box a couple of months ago. As you all now his first track was inspirational and overall a magical one. He doesn’t disappoint at all with his second edit of  Devendra Banhart’s “Mi Negrita”.

Daniele has went with a more happy and fun style this time and it suits him well for sure ! He turned Devendra’s slow track into one where you can’t keep your feet from tapping, fingers snapping, and your body from moving.

His edit quickly hit the roofs and he was second on Hypem’s most popular tracks for a whole seven days. We know this is just the beginning of his success, because talent like this is never disregarded.

Ellie Goulding

Ellie, ellie, ellie…

English singer- songwriter Ellie Goulding astounds us once again with her angelic voice. This time with a very different but breathtaking cover of Alt-J’s song Tessellate. The cover was produced Xaphoon Jones himself.

She altered the style of the song and perfectly fitted it to herself. And oh that saxophone solo.. So basically its the perfect cover for the perfect song.

Sinister Summer

In a period when i found myself utterly disappointed and a little mad at the music scene today, two little words brought by a fox got me back in the game. “Sinister Summer” were the two magical words.

Sinister Summer is a project of six tracks made by a new but very impressive up and comer Can Y. Can Yildirim is a self-developed electronic music producer from Istanbul, Turkey. Though young at age, he has the imagination and the talent that can quickly outpace his predecessors.

Here is a couple of tracks from his brand new mini album “Sinister Summer”.

You can listen to the all the tracks in his soundcloud page.

Praised by Maribou State

“We’ve come a long long way together,
Through the hard times and the good,
I have to celebrate you baby,
I have to praise you like I should”

Lyrics belong to Camille Yarbrough’s “Take Yo’ Praise” but you will recognize them from the legendary hit from 1999: Praise You by DJ & Producer Norman Cook – a.k.a. Fatboy Slim.

We recently featured Maribou State here on PhS , and wouldn’t assume a second mention would come so soon – but this one is simply too good to pass by.

The remix ( though you could call it a remake ) preserved the percussive , exotic atmosphere from the original song; yet it transformed the funky & fun dance hit into a sexy and laidback chillout song.

This tune, with delicate layers and soothing instrumental touches reminds me of our often overwhelming and pointless efforts to control the outcomes of things that we actually do not have the power to. All we can and should do is sit back, relax, breathe and be truly happy about the gifts that we are given. And the rest comes eventually.

Get ready for some Obama vocal mix!

This set perhaps has the most amazing tunes that I have listened to in open air; the mixture of magical sounds and the unbelievable Amsterdam crowd…

David August

No explanation needed for this particular producer – Dj. David August, i’m sure we have all heard of him if not one of his great tunes. He is in the same record label family as our favorite dj’s such as Solomun, Ost & Kjex, Stimming and much more. He has came out with his new piece, Blossom just last month. No suprise, like all his tunes this one is a instrumental masterpiece for sure.
